I have a task and am unsure if it can be done with php and mysql but thought id ask. basically i want to build a real basic company rota system...very very basic. the system is for a security company and needs to hold all employee details, all venue details (e.g. different bars) and event details(e.g different events like festivals).

 

like i said the system is to be very very basic, but wanted to no if this could be done? and also where to start?

yes it can be done with php .

you need knowledge of PHP , HTML , CSS

also you are gonna need a lot of algorithms which you should be familiar with,if it's your first time programming it's gonna be really really hard.

 

as for where to start, you should start by learning mysql/php/html , you should be able to insert and get data from mysql database.

If you are new to web development I'd suggest going to "rent a coder" or another such site and paying someone to do it.
