How to make logos/name's for Websites with akward EMD domain names?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm not a Designer myself so I'm just looking for some basic advice.

I tend to make a few micro niche websites and I like my websites to look good. The websites usually have Exactly matching domains. This can leave me in very akward situations when it comes to branding. Eg. how to ride a man! Yes, that is one of my domain :p names.

I got a logo for it but its not great and I wasn't expecting a great one becasue of how akward the title was.

How do I make logo's for these type's of websites or what design solutions are there?

Is it better to create a name and logo for the website that differes from the Domain name?

Or do you avoid making logos all together?

Logos aren't always needed and generally it can be down to personal preference.

You've got to think what the project is, what it does and how it's used. What are you trying to sell etc. Yes even in your case :p
