Help! My websites images will only show up in IE8!

Featured Replies

I have naively made a site and tested it in IE8. Now i find out that in every other browser i can imagine there are no images displayed! I have tried all i can and now feel like giving up as my site is crap any way. Some one got any tips? (other than dont give up the day job, lol!)

NB:

I tried creating an "images" folder inside the "public_html" directory of my host account and making sure the images are uploaded to there.

Also i have made sure the file path is relative to page location but i'm not sure that i have the file path spot on.

Even so; it shows images in IE8 but only the alt txt in other browsers. This is so disheartening.

some of your images are looking to find

file:///C:/Users/Jay&Linz/Pictures/ir

or in the case of the banner

http://www.essentialoilsforhealth.biz/Pictures/main-image.jpg

doesn't exist.

Happens in Chrome as well

I have just taken a look at how i have linked the images in the html and this is what i have tried now (which still doesn't work!). Do you know waht i am doing wrong? I suspect that it is more me than browsers!

UNBELIEVABLE! I think i actually get it now! I have managed to get the header image showing in ie8 and in chrome by using the link you gave me - thanks so much! I will see if i can apply this across the site (which i am planning to improve on anyway). Will you have a look and tell me if my home page header is showing your end please?

Yep, home page header working fine. Well done.
