May 29, 201214 yr Hi all, I am new to website design can you please visit www.iofficeplanet.com and review the design? your feedback is can be very helpfull to me. Thanks in advance
May 29, 201214 yr I presume the reason this is all image is that it's purely just to show the design, so I won't bother talking about code etc. The colour scheme needs some work. You've got far too many shades of the same colour going on. Stick to no more than 2 or maybe 3 different shades. The background is ugly and the gradient is too severe, the same goes for the gradients on the headings. They're too strong. Gradients should be very very subtle, almost unnoticeable, but noticeable enough that they give a softer look than solid colour. You're using Comic Sans. This is a big, big no no. Do not use comic sans unless designing a site for children. Your typography on the whole is suffering, mainly because you use too many fonts, they don't compliment each other, and you use them inappropriately. I can count about 6, maybe 7 different fonts. You should be using no more than 2 fonts on a page. If you want a nice, stylised font, this is fine, but strictly only use it for headings. For all your paragraph text, navigation, and everything that is NOT a header, use a plain sans-serif or serif font. Also - stick by the rule that if you use a serif header, use sans-serif text for the paragraph. If you use sans-serif for the header, use serif for the paragraphs. This isn't a hard and fast rule, but when you're just starting out as it appears you are it's a good one to stick by. You picture and text at the top aren't working. My suggestion is you replace both with a simple, full width slider. Your pictures go in the slider, and with most jQuery sliders you can attach captions, where you can put the text. Remove the horrible textures. Too many, too strong, and they're ugly. This is on the nav bar, the text below, and that element in the sidebar listing features. This isn't a terrible start, but there's a lot you need to work on. To summarise, simplify and improve your colour scheme. Remove strong gradients, make them much, much more subtle. Ditch the ugly textures, they are just really ugly. Stick to no more than two fonts, and only use stylised fonts for headings, stick to plainer fonts for body text. Good luck. June 2, 201214 yr Author Hi Mike, I considered the suggestions you told.. please check this new design thanks in advance
June 4, 201214 yr Great concept and great start. Looking through your site, it seems theres a basic color scheme, and it's t-tone. I love SIMPLICITY (why can't google, Astrid and Catch stay simple???), which your site is, but at the same time, it looks very basic. You have a lot of competitors out there, what do they do that is successful? Colors? Images? Mostly images and hardly any text? I would start by adding some sort of color banner or colorful logo on the top, this will really set the stage for your customers. This is tricky, because selling and buying websites can be a thousand dollor + game, so you need to stay looking professional.
June 10, 201214 yr yes great website. it looks realy good. is the site online? i would check the navigation and so
June 12, 201214 yr Suggestions would be to reduce the amount of colours in your branding. Don't emboss and unify your font styles. Good start!
