I have seen a site this onethat I really like. How much "inspiration" can I take before it is just blatant copying.

 

I like the way they have done the big words at the top of each page in particular and the tweet scroller.

well imo (and I feel wdf will shoot me down in flames for saying this) but technically everything is a copy, of a copy. All art is like that, music, films, and yes, websites.

 

I think if you take all the elements, and re-styled them (and the entire feel of your site), then that is taking inspiration. If you copy it all but just changed its color palette, then that is blatant copying imo.
