Hi All,

Having a bit of a roller-coaster with a client at present.

They're with a company called Freecom who are charging them an arm and a leg for hosting and SEO but are certainly overcharging and utilising black hat SEO techniques - not something my client wants to be associated with.

Has anyone had any experience in using them or perhaps worked with someone who has used them / heard of them / used them in the past?

Doing a Google search pulls up not a lot in terms of them as a service apart from their website but from what I understand they're situated across Europe and are actually quite a large company.

Any help much appreciated.

when I think Freecom I think hard drives not hosting and probably a totally different company.

You're right but this is Freecom.net ;)

just wondered where you got the impression they are across Europe. Seem to be based in Birmingham. Don't seem that big either http://www.companies...lp/WCInfo.shtml

A search on saynoto0870 brings up Germany too. It is possible of course, that this is another Freecom that also isn't the harddrive manufacturer or the one in Birmingham.

Any experience with them?

Nope, the use of the word 'unlimited' and the additional services page says it all to me.

Agreed. My client's been with them for almost 10 years with a website that matches.

It's a very difficult situation for them to be in.

Any advice on how to get out of a contract with a company that practice such things?
