February 23, 201214 yr im going to have an image/photo as the backdrop to my website. i was just wondering what dimensions you guys would recommend for the image to be? thx Probably 150kB max but if it's the only image on the page and there's not much else with heavy kB you could probably stretch to 300kB. The total kB for a page is still important, but less than it was as most people in the western world seem to have broadband now. This site http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/ will analyse your page, but it seems to be designed to deal with dial-up because it's very conservative.
