If I have a WordPress blog that is currently being tracked via Google Analytics, and I set up a page, have that page re-direct to the homepage, and add a separate GA tracker code to it.. Will that even work?!

 

I want to view results of giving out that particular URL (page).

 

If this won't work, what's the best way to go about it?

I already have every page,post and homepage tracked using GA. But I would like to track just one particular page, using a separate profile in GA. That page 301 redirects to the homepage, and I wondered if the tracking would be false or if there was a better way of doing this?

If it's just a single url, use utm link tagging to tag your url.

I did this recently using 'Goals' in GA. See About Goals and Setting Up Goals
