February 13, 201214 yr Hey all... Looking at using a custom font that a designer has given me for the website I am building. The font is 'American Typewriter'. I want to be able to use this font and for everyone to able to see it on there PC's without installing it. Do i just host it on the web server for this to happen? Thanks in advance, Josh
February 13, 201214 yr no you will need to use something like http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fontface/generator if you have the rights to do so. If not then they do have some typewriter ones in the 'kits' section.
February 14, 201214 yr Author Can't say i know what you mean Thanks for the feedback though, will take a look into it. There are multiple different versions of the font, bold, italic ect... Does that matter?
February 15, 201214 yr Author I have tried uploading the font i want to use but it's saying the font is blacklisted? I have purchesed this font.. Thanks, Josh
February 15, 201214 yr It's blacklisted because American Typewriter isn't licenced for self-hosted @font-face. You'll have to use the subscription service.
