April 14, 200818 yr hey guys and galls, I have just received a PM from roberto telling me that his Anti-virus picked up a trojan on my portfolio, has any one else had this problem? also how do i fix this problem? My Anti-virus doesn't find anything
April 15, 200818 yr I am guessing no one has noticed anything? Nothing dodgy showing up on my side... Trojans aren't meant to be dangerous are they? They're usually a message or email that acts like something else... often the result is that they convince you to mess up your own system... But that's purely a bookworm definition from someone who's not much of a bookworm... Good luck with that! Hope it works out ok. Cari.
April 15, 200818 yr Nope nothing on this end mate, and my AV is usually pretty **** hot at picking up infected sites...
April 15, 200818 yr Trojans aren't meant to be dangerous are they? A trojan basically allows another person to take control of your computer. So yeah, they can be pretty nasty. Can you zip up your site and put a link for the dl? Bit safer than going to a live site if there's an infection. Might also be worth checking with the person who found it, ask them what antivirus spotted it.

That makes sense. could it be picking up a goggle tracker bit of script?
April 15, 200818 yr It wouldn't normally trigger an antivirus, although I suppose it could potentially trigger malware detectors (some of them will alert you to tracking/profiling activity). It's a little hard to say without more details.. what the program was, and what the alert actually said. I've just had a look at the site and there's no content there at the moment. There's nothing in the code that should trigger an antivirus, unless it's the image. I remember there was a big fuss made a few years back about image file vulnerabilities, but as far as I know, the exploit was patched a long time back. If Nathan hasn't made any changes since, and the site is currently how it was when the other guy alerted him, I'd put money on it being a false alarm.
