Went back to the pen and paper as suggested by many.

 

Had a thought and came up with this idea, just wondering what the general feedback for this style of site would be.

 

Everything needs to be coded and optimized,

Strangely enough, that approach might just work - hate the logo text though

 

If you keep it fun and everything works properly you might be onto something

 

The execution of the concept is going to be key

you could even use CSS3 to animate the cylinders in the washing machines spin

It Could work, but needs a lot of work. The washing machines need at least a shadow or something. But i suppose it could be kinda cool. As mentioned above, the Logo text is 'orrible.

Honestly, I think you are better off with something more traditional. Users already have trouble picking up basic designs, but throwing someone into something like this, especially when they are probably strapped for time and looking for information quickly is going to scare them away. I know I typically click the back button on something like this unless it is incredibly well thought out and well put together.

 

If you want to pursue this you better polish it until it shines. As it stands right now it looks quickly slapped together, elements don't go with each other and isn't really visually appealing.

 

Remember, design is about communication, so if you can't convey your message the design is a failure. Designs like these are much harder to successfully communicate with.

Thanks for that. I did just put it together quickly, didn't think their was much point spending time on the image, if the feedback was negative.

But will try my best to put it all together nicely, if you or anyone has anyone good suggestions then i will certainly implement them.

 

Tried my hand at some css3 take a look Washer, just hover over drum.

Nice idea, I'm all for getting away from tradition and trying something different. If it was me, I'd pass that to a good illustrator, pay some money and have it looking tip top!
