I have a new client, and I have designed the site. I am waiting for the all clear to go ahead and code it or tweak the design if needed

 

What do you guys think

 

Image might take a minute to load. Images are crappy ones i had to work with for design and dummy text is well... dummy text:D

It's very nice - nice simple layout, no gratuitous rounded corners, and good content layout and contrast. I have no criticism

Yeah, I quite like it too. Looks quite tidy.

 

Just one suggestion. Add a little more contrast to your tent banner (+20 i would suggest) and kick the brightness up a little to (+5).

Thanks for the suggestion, but That image will soon be a slideshow with a few decent images, tha is just there to show what will be there

Simple and functional, but a tad boring. There's a lot of interesting forms and mechanisms involved with marquees, it seems almost a shame to do something that's a fairly standard boxy site.

 

The colour scheme is kinda cold, which is at odds with the subject. Marquees are normally used in celebratory events.. happy occasions.. a little more warmth would probably be more appropriate.

 

The 'handwritten' bit in the top-right blue box isn't working. It looks like 'jam' because of how it's cropped by the right side and the foreground lettering. You have the name of the company written 3 different ways on the page (not including anything in the copy). In terms of branding, I reckon it'd make sense to have a bit of consistency there.

 

The bottom-right section looks unfinished.

The images there wont be used, better ones will be used and as for the bottom... i have two designs but I cant choose which one to use lol

I agree with bumfluff 100%.

 

"Medium blue" is not the only colour that looks clean and professional; it's the execution that matters. I have seen some fantastic, professional sites that used red, orange and rainbows (not together and not EVERYWHERE obviously ). Even a shade of a second blue (lighter - light blue/grey) would help a bit, or an accent colour, which you can use sparingly.
