Ideas to make an awesome website design?

Featured Replies

I started my blog at techspecs.site11.com about 3 months ago and I've already gone through two designs. Granted, they were both free Wordpress themes.

This time my plan is to try and make my own theme to use on my blog.

I'm looking to make something young, techy and really cool (kind of like the theme on THIS site :D ).

The problem is I'm really terrible with design, so, since you guys AREN'T maybe you could give me some ideas and things you think I should use in the template!

I don't have any colour schemes yet so you can include those with any ideas you throw at me :)

Thanks for any and all suggestions! :)

I've looked for SOOO much inspiration and came up short :/

I think I might just stick with the free theme I've tweaked for now. I think it's just too much for me to do. I literally sat there and tried to think of good designs and looked online everywhere and got nowhere.

The current theme isn't that bad. Is it?

I like it - it's nice and clean and makes the content the focus of the blog. You could perhaps re-work the header and come up with something a bit more exciting logo wise - but other than that it's all good :)
