April 8, 200818 yr Hey does anyone know of an existing simple css gallery? I found one that kinda works but the thumbnails that display don't resize the full images or let you use small thumbnails insteads the "thumbnails" display a 50px by 50px thumbnail of the center of the images. for example: http://www.sonic.net/~eighth08/RSC/clothing.html I am making this site for a friend so I can add to my portfolio and he wants full thumbnails of the pictures instead of how it displays in that link. gallery does not have to be similar to the one in the example link.. I am just looking for any easy/creative way to display images in a gallery form.
April 8, 200818 yr the thumbnails that display don't resize the full images That's because CSS isn't the best way to resize an image. That's what PHP is for. Having said that though, try http://www.cssplay.co.uk/ That's the best place I can think of for your CSS needs.
April 8, 200818 yr Author thanks for the info. and ya know what I should have searched first because right after I posted this I noticed the relevant threads that already exist.
April 8, 200818 yr Have you seen this list by Smashing Magazine? http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2006/12/21...-css-galleries/ Might be of some use to you.
April 8, 200818 yr Author Sweet site. But I meant for more of a "picture" gallery also i like your current layout for your site pixeldeath.com pretty cool so far.
April 8, 200818 yr Author Actually have a quick question here. How can I make the displayed image on this page scroll down with the content when you scroll the down in the DIV? http://rastasurfcult.com/clothing.html to clarify, if you goto that link and your screen isn't a 24" you probably have to scroll down in the div to see all the thumbnails. but problem is when you scroll down in the div the "main" displayed image goes up top and you can't see it.. and less advanced users might not realize that.. so I am hoping there is a trick to make the image always follow the page as you scroll down so its always in view. any suggestions here? thanks guys!(and girls!)
April 8, 200818 yr You could give it a {position:fixed top:230px;} but you might have issues with IE6
April 8, 200818 yr Author ahh ya. I'm worried about that So I think I will just find a different gallery system.. what is the gallery called where you click the thumbnail and the whole site dims and the picture pops up in front of the page?
