July 25, 201115 yr Has anyone got a list of documents that are required for a freelancer? Im just starting out and need a list of documents which I need to produce. The obvious ones are contract, invoice, letter heads, buisness cards... but are there any im missing?
July 25, 201115 yr The most important thing to get right is tax and ni. Make sure you're registered as a sole trader, and you will need to learn how to do self-assessment.

That's pretty much it for actual requirements until you hit the VAT threshold. I've been meaning to design letterheads and business cards for the past year or so, and still haven't got around to it.
