June 27, 201115 yr Hi Guys, I've got a favour to ask everyone.... I need as many people as I can to test something for me! I need you to visit a site using INTERNET EXPLORER!! It can be any version (however I'm looking for results mainly from IE7 and IE8... but all IE versions are welcome... Please note this test CAN NOT be performed using IETester!) So.... 1) Visit the following site: http://apps.facebook.com/djep-sa-tester/ 2) Use the login details " demo123 " for both username and password 3) Report back here Basically... I need to know the following: A ) Does it log you in or does it repeat the logon form? (Menu options appear if successfully logged in) B ) If you're logged in, does it break out of the frame or stay within the app frame? C ) Which browser did you use (please include version number) and which operating system did you use! Massive thanks in advance to all those who help out It's greatly appreciated! PS: I know testing can be done using various tools and different bits and bobs... but nothing beats Real World and Real People testing so I really am thankful to everyone who helps out
June 27, 201115 yr Going against the grain....why can't it be done using ietester? Anyhow, in ietester works fine 7 8 and 9. Vista.
June 28, 201115 yr what does it do? How do we know that this is not some app you've created to harvest people's facebook details. I'm out. and why not install IE yourself?
June 28, 201115 yr Just use http://browsershots.org/ Browser shots is absolutely useless for testing sites. All it does is give you, as the name suggests, a browser shot. Which is pointless in situations where you need to test a website properly; usability, different text sizes, logins, etc etc
June 28, 201115 yr Author Basically... it's part of DJ Event Planner... ( djeventplanner.com ) We are working on integrating it into facebook via Iframes .. and other peoples websites via iframing again! So it's quick and easy to implement! We ran into issues with P3P headers.... hence why I need testers! I've tested it on my machines here and we are 99.9% sure there are no problems, but it's handy to have other testers. It's not an app... well it is... but it's an iframe app... so you don't need to " allow " anything! it will NOT interact with your account as I've provide the login details (demo123) If you don't want to do the Facebook version you can help out by testing the normal version here: http://www.alexentertainment.co.uk/logon Again using the same details
