Hello everyone

 

I am new to the forum just thought I would say hello, looks like just the place I need for any help with my website. I am currently setting up/running my own online store www.airsoft4you.com, using pretsashop v.1.4.2.5 I like it however since there big update of 1.4 the way in which you create a theme has changed making it a lot harder to create one easily. I see that open cart is big on the eccomerce forum, will take a look.

 

Aswell as running my online store I have for the last few years been wanting to be able to design/devlop a really modern looking site however never been able to as I feel I need to know lots of stuff, can anyone point me in the direction.

Welcome to the forum.

To get in to designing modern style websites you're better off tackling the fundamentals of design theory (i.e. colour theory, typography, balance etc) once you get an understanding of these principles then you'll have a much greater understanding of how to create great looking sites.
