June 11, 201115 yr Website I have added a twitter feed to my site - does it look out of place? Thanks Edited June 11, 201115 yr by Bad Apple Web
June 14, 201115 yr Hmmmmmmmmmm. Yes. lol. It looks ok but it doesnt seem to fit with any of the other elements. Maybe if it was just the same height as the banners or something, that would help? HTH
June 15, 201115 yr just because you can doesn't always mean you should, i can tell your excited about webdesign but like the online chat, i don't think its very pointful.

This is worth always remembering. You'll get a chance to use a twitter feed sometime in the future, but for now, get rid. Same with the chat, seriously.

October 7, 201115 yr That's really not how you should approach web design. You should always be looking for ways to condense/simplify/remove. Less is more. Always.
October 7, 201115 yr That's really not how you should approach web design. You should always be looking for ways to condense/simplify/remove. Less is more. Always. I agree. Here at the office we have a saying: "Less is better" (borrowed from 37 Signals) "“Less is More” implies that more is better. It’s not. Less is less. Less is just right. Less is better." If you convey your message in one or two elements, definitely don't add in four more. EDIT: The forum was bleeping out a curse word in the URL (which is silly) so I replaced with a quote. October 7, 201115 yr Yeah I agree with the other comments. You need to really use a grid for all your content I think, your logo and twitter feed just look out of place so if you could find some way of bringing them inline with the rest of your website then do that and you will find that your website looks a lot more professional and logical which in turn will encourage customers. Furthermore, I think you have too many fonts on your website and thus creating an inconsistent theme through your website which brings it down and finally I'd consider changing the diagonal boxes named "Website Design?", Print Design?" and "Need Printing?" because firstly the spacing between your letters is inconsistent but also the diagonal lines look well not amazing in my opinion but that's up to you . I know you didn't really ask to be reviewed in all of these areas but I thought I would because I like to help, hope you find this useful. EDIT: Oh by the way, try turning down the opacity of your background for the website, it comes across a little 'in your face'. I like the navigation by the way
