Swirling Glow effect

Featured Replies

Hello,

Im looking to create a glowing swirl effect in photoshop,

Does anyone know how I can achieve the following effect like on this image:

wjjf.co.uk/sites/all/them.../bg_boy1-l.jpg

Many thanks,

It's very easy:

Photoshop CS5, Win 7

1. Create new document (Ctrl+N). Default colours (press D key)

2. Fill background with the black

3. Create new empty layer (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+N)

4. Select Brush Tool - Brush size, say, 20 px (Soft Round).

5. Draw the curve you need with the Pen tool.

6. Switch to palette Path, right click on the path, -> Stroke path (Tool: Brush, Simulate Pressure)

That's all, now you can play with layer effects like inner Glow, Outer Glow, etc.
