Perspective in Ilustrator

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am trying to create something in perspective in illustrator and have found this tutorial:

http://www.khulsey.c..._transform.html

but it does not seem to work, when I highlight my grouped objects and select the Free transform tool a nothing changes, when I move a corner of my grouped object the other corner moves to, I can not move it independently.

I have reset the bounding box a couple of times.

Any help?

Works for me, what version of illustrator are you using? I'm on CS3.

CS4 may have something to do with my settings, but dont know how to change it to make it work.

Hi All!

I didn't figure out how to get my free transform tool to move each corner independently to create perspective however I found a work around:

you can use

Object > Envelope Distort > Envelope with Warp

Object > Envelope Distort > Envelope with Mesh

I found the mesh is more accurate, you can create your perspective by using the direct selection tool and editing each point to your exact needs.

Hope that helps anyone else trying to do this.

Cheers!
