At least a screenshot of your logo would help, so we know what we're dealing with :)

What format is the logo file?

Removing the text at the bottom of the logo shouldn't be too difficult - are you using Photoshop?

no i am using iphoto express

it is just a small program that isnt really professional like photoshop.

I looked up iPhoto Express quickly, and there doesn't seem to be all that much documentation on it..maybe there's a user manual somewhere that might shed some light?

One of your alternatives is to download a free 30-day trial of Photoshop. Opening the PNG up and deleting the text from there should be relatively straightforward.

In Photoshop:

To delete the text from the bottom of the logo -

1) Open the file,

2) Using the rectangular marquee tool (hover over the tool icons to find it), drag a selection around the text you want to delete, and press the Delete key.

To increase the size of the logo -

1) With your file open, go to the Image > Image size menu. Type in your desired values in the appropriate fields, and make sure the Constrain Proportions check box is ticked.

2) Click OK!

It's worth mentioning that, unfortunately, you probably won't maintain the same image quality with a PNG file, when you increase its size.

No worries :)

Upscaling a JPEG file has the same effect as with a PNG file. In future, in order to be able to increase the dimensions without losing quality, your best bet would be to create the original file in vector format, using a vector program such as Adobe Illustrator, or Inkscape, which is free.

Alternatively, just create your original JPEG, PNG etc at a size bigger than you think you'll need :)
