February 22, 201115 yr Hi, I have an idea on how to make my side navigation better, especially for people viewing on a small screen sizes, but unsure how it could be done. It might be difficult to explain so here goes... As you can see on my site: http://secondscope.eu/ I have a my navigation 'fixed' on the left. I think this would work a lot better if it moved up with the rest of the site and only became 'fixed' just before it goes out of view, maybe 10px from the top edge of the browser. I've Photoshopped an image to show what I mean... So as you can see, the navigation no longer moves down in the middle of the browser window, it would now be at the top, this would avoid any issues I'd have from people viewing on a small screen size. I hope this makes sense and hope someone can point me in the right direction as to how this can be done. Thanks!
February 22, 201115 yr Author But I don't want it to start at the top of the browser, I only want the fixed positioning to kick in when the navigation is just about to go out of view, then it would become fixed.

February 22, 201115 yr Author That's nice but I'm still unsure it will let me start my menu where it is positioned here: http://secondscope.eu/ You see on the left, it is a fixed in position just under where it says 'recent work'... well imagine viewing that on a small screen size like this: You see how some items in my navigation are cut off? so if I scrolled down the page they would still be cut-off, like this: Again with Photoshop, I've tried to show how I would like it to work. In this next image I try to show where the navigation would start to become fixed: and then it would stay fixed in that position if you scrolled down further. But if you returned to the top, it would sit in it's normal position, just under where it says 'recent work'. Do you reckon that's possible?
