JQuery Slider issue
Slider works now and I'm aware of the images needing changed... see my first post. Really just placeholders at the moment.

JQuery Slider issue
You're totally right, it is overkill, I'm going to choose one transition and use that instead of it being set to random. That will fix it. Cheers for the help.

JQuery Slider issue
Yes, I've copied the Nivo Slider into my CSS... I've been through it and I can't see what's causing it! It only happens on one particular transition. Doing my head in!

Website almost finished
You see the dividing line between "About" and "home" disappears when you hover on "About" - it's because of the way I've set the BG image to change on hover so I'm not sure I've done it the best way.

One thing I was wondering about the main navigation is how to keep the divider on rollover... it's a BG image and I can't think of a way to keep it there when I rollover.

I take it the h1 tag on the logo is for seo? It knocked things out a bit when I tried that. The facebook and twitter icons is something I'll get to. I think you're right about the yellow - will keep it in the green. Cheers!

Website almost finished
Hi guys, Just wanted some experienced developers to have a glance over this and let me know if there's any major issues that I have missed. http://www.solarenergyinc.co.uk/ Ignore the stock images (not been approved yet). So it's a pretty basic site, client is fairly happy. Just thought I'd post it here to get some feedback. I'm mainly worried about my code and my contact page. I'm fairly new to html and CSS and really struggled with the PHP and javascript on the contact form... but I think I got there in the end. Thanks.

JQuery Slider issue
If you look at my slider on this page: http://www.solarenergyinc.co.uk/ On certain transitions it starts one of the images about 10px below and then jumps it back into place. No idea why this does that. Any help appreciated! ps. ignore the watermarks on the stock images - still to be approved! Thanks

Help Customising my form
My hosting does support it but what do you suggest I use for a small site like this? All I need is a simple contact form, I really don't know anything about PHP though.

Help Customising my form
Hi, I have this form... http://www.solarenergyinc.co.uk/contact.html Obviously still to be styled. But I need to customise that so that the inputs are: Name*: House number: Postcode: Are you the homeowner? yes• no• (radio buttons) Phone number*: I don't know PHP so would really appreciate some help here! Also when I hit 'submit' it also gives me a 404 and tries to locate this page... http://www.solarenergyinc.co.uk/%3C?=$_SERVER[\'PHP_SELF\']?%3E?sent=1 How can I sort that? Thanks

Could use a little help
That doesn't work, as you'll see, it removed the BG completely on hover.

Does that navigation issue happen with anyone else?

Ok I'll have a look at those. Any feedback on the site in general or about the point I made regarding the main navigation?

Could use a little help
Been working on this site for a friend on and off for a while now, I'm not great at coding so have run into some problems, mainly to do with older versions of IE. On IE7 it's a bit all over the place and don't know where to start with that, don't have a PC to test on. There also seems to be an issue on some browsers with the main navigation BG images disappearing for a split second when you hover over it. Anyway, the site is http://www.cloudlearn.co.uk/about.html (That's not the homepage btw, it's the about us page, you'll be able to navigate to all the pages from there but homepage is set to a holding page just now). Any other help regarding improvements is appreciated, I realise that my code is far from good so I am trying to get better. Thanks

My first E-Commererce site
Thanks for the response. I haven't built any sites with Wordpress before and don't have any real experience in of PHP or JS. I'm really just looking for the simplest solution here and would be happy to build a site with HTML/CSS and add some sort of E-commerce system to the product page. Shopify seems like a good option. Basically, I'm being asked to design a site, brand the business, logo etc. but the guy realises that I'm new to e-commerce so is prepared to give me some time to find the best solution. If it means paying a monthly fee to Shopify (or similar) to make my life easier then he'd be happy with that. I don't want to reinvent the wheel, the product page can be pretty generic but I need full control over the style of the other main pages.

My first E-Commererce site
I've been asked to do a small e-commerce website, which would also have some sort of CMS as well, They would only have around 15 products to start with and maybe only around 4 main pages on the website. Up until now, I haven't done any kind of e-commerce, I've mainly focused on small, static websites. I'm just looking for advice on what software would be best for me to use, whether it would be best to use a template or code the site from scratch. The client is keen to have a very minimal looking site so I don't think it would be a major task in doing it from scratch.... it's just the e-commerce and which CMS to use that I am looking for some advice on. I would be keen to code this from scratch to give me complete freedom over the design. I think I should also mention that some of the products will be PDFs which can be downloaded after purchase. Thanks.

Slider issue on homepage in IE
Just reading this... thanks mteam, really appreciate your work but I'm going to have to rethink this a bit, I may still use the transparency in the slider, but client wants a few alterations first which may just have to include a standard banner without transparencies. Even if I don't use it in this site, if that works, then I'm sure I'll use it at some point! THANKS!

Slider issue on homepage in IE
I've tried one with just a static image, no hassle, no outer glow, I might just stick with it, what do you reckon? http://www.no1danceandmartialartsstudio.co.uk/test2/ One with slider: http://www.no1danceandmartialartsstudio.co.uk/test/

Slider issue on homepage in IE
I'll try saving the Gifs again with different settings but it looked like this... And that was after I removed the outer glow from the text.

Slider issue on homepage in IE
Well I've just tried that with a transparent gif and it looks rubbish so I think I'm just going to rethink this... Whether it's a just a static image instead or another slider. I'm open to ideas... I just want that background image to show through on the home page though, that's the main thing. I just thought the animated text would give a bit of life to the page. What do you think?
