I'm trying to create a basic menu from a single image but I just can't do it. I want to have a simple hover over effect as well so do I need to put all the images inside one file or can I have separate ones?

 

Is their a tutorial anyway that can help me as im very, very stupid

Forgot to attach a image of how the menu is laid out. As I said, there will also be a hover over effect which is coming from another image when the user places their mouse over the link.

Create your menu using sprites. This will give you a basic idea...

Awesome. I think ive got it. Just playing with various coordinates to get it working. Is there a quick way to work these out?
