December 7, 201015 yr My dedicated server recently got rooted... I'm putting the finger on my wordpress install... I've now had to backdate my full server installation 5 days.. Then I've upgraded WP to latest 3.0.2 I was 3.0.1 I've also updated all plugins, which they were all up to date anyway and added wordpress firewall, BBQ, etc I've now had thousands of emails from wordpress firewall reporting blocked mysql injection code... Is there any secure method to totally stop these people or is it a case of stop using wordpress all together, the IP's in the email reports are random...?
December 7, 201015 yr Unfortunately I would say there is no indefinite way to stop these attacks. There are certain other methods you can take with wordpress to make it more secure Have a look at this linky Hope that helps a little
December 7, 201015 yr Hello, Have you actually secured the server? Securing Wordpress will delay the damage but without proper security all round, your dead meat! Shoot me a PM and I'll secure your server for you free of charge. I know what it's like to get shafted
