November 21, 201015 yr Hi i was wondering if u can help me. My husband works as a graphic designer and I would like to use his skills and make his designs work as websites as he doesn't design for web. I don't really know where to start -do u think this is a good idea? What program would be the best for me? Or do you know of any good books ? Or even a course ? Thanks for all your help
November 21, 201015 yr w3schools should give you alot of information to begin with, Dreamweaver is very easy to use and a powerful design tool however it is pricey. Lynda.com has many tutorials on how to use dreamweaver to create powerful websites so if your willing to pay that would be a good option. To start with though just check out www.w3schools.com as its free and very useful.
November 22, 201015 yr I would say that w3schools is one of the first places you should take a look at. You will be able to get the basics for coding his designs into webpages. I would say its probally good to use notepad++ as its free to code with and you will learn the code better that way too.
November 22, 201015 yr yes, I agree with w3schools as your tool guide. Dreamveaver is an easy tool as well compared to notepad, so use it if you prefer so:)
November 22, 201015 yr I'd get hold of Dreamweaver and get 3 books from Amazon: 1) Dreamweaver The Missing Manual 2) CSS The Missing Manual 3) The Web Designers Idea Book. Then just spend some time learning. S
