My site is showing has not been updated since 3 Sep

Am looking at very popular sites and theirs is showing 6 sep, 7 sep etc..

Now i have heard there is an internal google cache ?!? Anyone know about this so is being viewed all then time !

I really want to know when the changes i have made will effect my google ranking i.e if i saw google had new version of my page i would know that if my position remained unchanged then my changes had no effect.

At the moment totally in limbo? any ideas guys ?!?

You'll just have to wait a bit for Google to index your page again... If you have made changes to your site then Google will place you at the back of the queue for indexing....

Sites which get updated regularly will be indexed more frequently by google..

Also, sites with higher page rank will be indexed more frequently than those with lower page rank. It might be that your competitors site have a higher PR than yours which is why there is a delay.
