  2. Its a big task! First I would determine what your keywords are.... this can sometimes take a lot of research but its important you get this right. Next you should perform some on site SEO, by placing the keywords in you Title tags, meta tags and meta description .etc... take a look at the SEO Cheat Sheet sticky on this forum.... Original content is the key.... add lots of content to your site in the form of blog posts etc, with some scattered keywords... Then once you have expired all of those ideas, start building a back link profile.... get some websites which link to yours, with the anchor text as your keyword... Kinda hard to explain in one reply.... there are hundreds of books about this! Mike.
  3. You'll just have to wait a bit for Google to index your page again... If you have made changes to your site then Google will place you at the back of the queue for indexing.... Sites which get updated regularly will be indexed more frequently by google.. Mike.
  4. Hi everyone, What is the key to gain high rankings in the "maps" for google, bing and yahoo? Is this linked to your website? I've tried messing with the content within my Google Map advert, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Any help much appreciated. Mike.
  5. Hi Guys, A friend has asked me if I can help him out with centering this flash article. As you can see from the link below it's stuck in the top left - i'd like to center it. http://www.cardetail.co.uk/caravan/website/index.html I've tried align="center" in the table tag and in the CSS and the object tag - i don't know, i havn't had much experience of flash in the past but i'm sure you guys can put me straight Thanks in advance. Mike.
  6. Thanks for the reply guys. It seems as though it would too expensive for me to incorporate this into my website... I own a remapping and detailing company and people would be able to search for their car easily by either a VRM search or via dropdown box stylie. Cheers anyway. Mike.
  7. No I don't have access... I'm guessing is something which can be purchased from the DVLA? I'll look into obtaining a database. Thanks Mike.
  8. Hi guys i'm new to the forum! I was wondering what it would take to build a "number plate search" into a website... So when the user types in their vehicle number plate the website can work out what make/model the car is and therefore offer a service suitable for that car. Kind regards, Mike.
