Hi all,

 

I am after a domain that expired today-do I have to keep trying on a domain resgistration serivice until it says it is free?

 

I hear there is a period of up to 30 days where it is retained and won't appear...

Hey dude, Can you specify the domain Extension? Depending on the domain e.g. domain.co.uk, these domains get suspended for around 30 days. After this they are released back out on to the open market. Hope this helps.

With .com i have heard that this can vary depending on the registrar and the domain name. I would say that if you really want the domain you could buy a domain watcher. This would check the domain every so often and buy it for you the moment it goes available.

Domain catcher offered by Godaddy and Enom are good ones. We managed to grab a good expired domain name with the help of Godaddy domain catcher a few months ago.
