WordPress: Change Posts to custom Widget?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am creating a theme for a client who is not computer savvy. I could get them to add images using feature image and type extra info using custom fields...

But..Could I make this even more simpler?

They wont need categories/tags etc so wondered if it was possible to add another menu on the left similiar to the posts one?

And just have the basics in there needed for them to fill in??

Basically they will upload an image, write a description and have artist name and price.

Thought it might make more sense to them to just have the areas they 'need' and to change 'custom fields' to Artist and Price etc..

Thanks

If you use wordpress 3 you can use custom taxonomies

Re read, not sure that custom taxonomies would work very well for the image, but it could work for the text bits
