Hi all,

 

Browsing through facebook today it suddenly dawned on me! How does facebook go to your personal page when your username is entered in the url? i.e www.facebook.com/joebloggs

It doesn't for me. You could register your own /thispart a while back, the rest were automatic.

 

Edit: I assume it's the same way Wordpress does its URLs.

Yes i think so! just been reading into it on google, its got somethin to do with mod_rewrite in the .htaccess!
