I am just starting up a freelance web design/coding business and am struggling to name it as "Daniel Tomlinson Design" sounds bad and all the name ideas that I have had are taken. So could you please give me some ideas etc.

I would get the term 'web design' in the name (incuding the domain name). Unfortunately, dtwebdesign.co.uk has been taken.

 

Another way to look at it is to register webdesignyourlocation.co.uk and SEO to that (backlinks etc) but also have danieltomlinsondesign.co.uk which you put on ya busness cards etc. That would be on a 301 redirect to you website.

 

rarely are people going to search for your name but they will be searching for a local web designer!
