Why is godaddy so bad!

Featured Replies

Been using slowdaddy...er...i mean godaddy over the last few months and i can't believe how bad they are!

Nearly every afternoon i struggle to connect and they are forever having technical problems. How they are still getting customers is beyond me. Unfortunately my company uses them so head banging every afternoon will be the norm. Never will i use them for anything.

Okay...few....that's my friday rant over with!! :angry3:

Anyone else..?

I've worked on a few sites hosted at GD and can only echo what you've said, sloooow being the operative word :)

They are after all primarily a domain registrar, not a serious web host...

Why don't you just produce a report for your business, on why it would be more effective for them to consider changing hosting service. Contrast performance and evaluate the difference between them and suggest another hosting company, that offers a superior service to GoDaddy. Who knows, it may get you a promotion! but at the very least your boss(es) know their is a problem and should consider the possibility of moving. Focus on the loss in productivity and equate what that means in value of profits lost or not earned I'm sure that should have some impact. You could always use the time it takes to load over a period of a few weeks to produce your report. I mean I'm only a student and haven't got any real world experience other than my own little projects, in which case I'm the boss, so probably impractical what I'm suggesting but its just my two-pence on it.

P.s. I know it seems lame to waste your time but I'm a total nerd and love developing reports like this with solid research... ooh use MS Visio to produce base-line reports for the contrast.
