Image Reduction problems

Featured Replies

Hello

I have photographs which i want to use in a web site. the final image size has to be 143px wide and 261px high.

I do not have Photoshop, so have had to make do with paint.net

However, when I reduce the images, the quality ends up quite poor, (in my opinion) see for yourself at

What am I doing wrong ?

What would be the best way to reduce the size to get an image of the required size ?

The original images are pretty good, but for some reason they will not upload to this site, nor did they upload to my Zymic free site. maybe there is a file size maximum for uploading.

As a matter of interest, I have actually reduced other images using the webresizer.com which produces great results, but i don't think I could use that to get an exact size, without a lot of faff

Many thanks for any advice offered

Hello again and thank you for your replies ..

I had never heard of batch image processors and although they look to be ideal in some instances, I think not for me as I am also croppping my images as required as well as reducing the size. Thanks anyway for the useful link, which i have bookmarked for future reference.

I shall give that online editor a go.
