Publication Publishing!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have recently decided to start an e-publication for one of my websites, but im having alot of trouble with sourcing the images for the publication. Previously I would have gone to a free stock image site, but with a specialised publication (hobby-based, so theres not alot of stock images available for it) im having trouble finding images from these sources. Can I use images from google images, providing they are credited correctly some where in the publication?

Also, does anyone have any tips as to the general design/layout of the publication. Its basically one a3 page = one page of the publication (its nothing major, along the lines of a newsletter - 4 pages)?

Many Thanks in advance

I guess it depends on the subject but you might find what you want on flickr. A lot of people there are happy to have their photos used as long as you credit the photos and let them know. Just check what type of creative common license they use.

Don't use images from google images - you could lay yourself wide open to copyright infringement laws. Better off finding a decent stock image supplier and sticking with them, even if it costs a few £ each time.

No.

You should ask permission for any images you want to use.
