March 30, 201016 yr Hi, Just a quickie. I have been emplyed as a junior web designer now for 7months and was talking to someone regarding link building. How much is the going rate for a link builder? I know it prob varies alot, but a wage bracket for reference would be good. If you don't mind me asking!! Thanks

I was only wondering because at the moment I am getting paid quite alot less than the link builder As boring as it is, It can't be a 'skilled' job such as web design. (no offence to all the hard working link builders on here!)
March 30, 201016 yr all the hard working link builders The problem is people will pay for it. And if they are willing to pay for it, they are willing to get mugged monthly. There is very little 'hard work' in the type of link building most people sadly participate in. If they are phoning up other local companies and forging partnerships between complimentary businesses. Effectively being a PR, getting exposure in local newspapers and creating opportunities for the company then they may deserve more money than a web designer (probably am in the wrong place to say that).
March 30, 201016 yr Anybody with any salary ideas?? If they are doing what I outlined I would probably think £25-30K is reasonable or more depending on what their exact role is and how successful they were. I doubt there are a lot people doing THAT job though. Much easier to spam directories and build pages to accommodate links. In which case they should be getting paid £0 but probably get paid ridiculous money.
