February 2, 201016 yr Hi. Just designed a new web page and tested it in IE8, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. In Safari, three of the images don't show and are replaced with a '?' mark. If I right click on the images and ask Safari to open in new tab, they are displayed correctly. What's happening?

February 2, 201016 yr Have you changed the page on the server since you last loaded it in Safari? If so, try emptying the cache in Safari and reloading the page.
February 2, 201016 yr Author Hold on! I just pressed reload and they showed OK. I haven't used Safari before. But why did they not show the first time??? I'm using version 4.04 (531.21.10)
February 2, 201016 yr Author No, I had not changed the page before testing with Safari. - strange. I notice a lot of issues on the web about images not loading with Safari.
February 2, 201016 yr If you imported cache to Safari upon install, it may have not read the page from the server, but the cache. Are you using the Windows version of Safari?
February 2, 201016 yr Author If you imported cache to Safari upon install, it may have not read the page from the server, but the cache. Are you using the Windows version of Safari? Just downloaded Safari for Windows. There are 17 images on the page but three decided not to show. Why did it choose to not show just three???
February 2, 201016 yr Just downloaded Safari for Windows. There are 17 images on the page but three decided not to show. Why did it choose to not show just three??? I never have a problem with Safari on my Mac, it's my second favourite of all browsers after Chrome. If I ever experience issues like the one you've described, it's due to HTML files being cached with an incorrect image reference, so a simple reload does the trick. It should never happen when using PHP to render an HTML page.
