I am going to design a webdesign agency design ... but i am not sure what the homepage should include ....

Without a doubt a small introdutory text, but what else ???

I thought about a small portfolio .... something about our services ... but what else ??? do you have any presentable sites i should watch to improve my ideas ???

Honestly, I don't mean to be rude, but If you don't know what a webdesign agency design should look like, how do expect to run one? Given that it is for your own of course. I just don't see how you would be able to design client websites not having a clue what they should look like.

You could use google to find inspiration, if you really feel like you are lacking some basic principles of web design.

Good luck!

I beleive that Last / Featured projects should be the main part of home page content.

yes you are right =) but my problem is not the problem that i am not able to design ... i just want to know what a HOMEpage should contain ...

for my complete page i know that there should be about, references, what we do, and contact ...

but i dont know what i sould all put on the main page ... because if i try to show a part of everything i would be too much ...

Well in that case I would say you need the following:

  •
  • Featured Projects
  • Testimonials or Client List
  • Full contact information
  • Latest blog posts (if you have a blog)
  • List of services

Those are the essential I think, but it would be different with each design.

OK I will try to integrate all these aspects Oo but this ist not easy without a great height ...

Well users will scroll if there's content to be seen, so no worries there.

The first thing I would gauge is the quality of the designers site. With so many amazingly talented website designers out there, your site has to grab people.

If I were looking for a website designer, I would consider their website the most important showcase of their work. Plus, I'm a bit of a website snob, so if I'm not impressed/grabbed within the first few seconds, chances are I'll look elsewhere. In addition, the actual text on the screen as in what is written and how. I think you need to decide on who your target audience is - what kind of sites do you design - or could you cater for anyone? Corporate websites are totally different to web design sites in look, presentation and how the message of the site is conveyed.

Once you get all that sorted, then you should find it easier to decide what to include on your page.

Also - everyone is capable of clicking on a 'Portfolio' link (or 'See our work' etc.)

Good luck
