January 14, 201016 yr Hi, I was just wondering is there a way of displaying a second image when hovering over a first image? Maybe with CSS? Also, why does filezilla only stay connected for about 30 seconds? Ever time I want to upload a file approx 30 seconds after my last upload I have to reconnect and it is a total pain! Thanks
January 14, 201016 yr Although it says disconnected it just reconnects automatically whenever I do something - is it not the same for you?
January 15, 201016 yr The connection times our after some time of inactivity. This might be in the FileZilla preferences, and if not, it might be a server side issue. Don't worry about it when it says disconnected, it should reconnect automatically as soon as you take a different action. Here's a great tutorial on CSS Sprites. Here's one that teaches you how to create a fade effect using jQuery. Hope this helps, cheers!
January 15, 201016 yr Author It is just annoying. When it disconnects I have top re-open the site manager and re-connect. It would be great if I could upload a file then come back 30 seconds later to upload another file and not have to open the site manager and re-connect again! It says - Error: Disconnected from server: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted Dont know what that means? Regarding my CSS question - I want to have an image as a link (the image is a word that I typed in Adobe Illustrator and saved for web) and when I hover over that word (image) it displays (either on top of or in its place) a slightly bigger version (that I also made made in AI) of the image. Thanks for your help!
January 15, 201016 yr Could you just change the dimension in CSS? i.e.: img {width: 100px; height: 50px;} img:hover {width: 200px; height: 100px;}
January 15, 201016 yr Author That is absolutely amazing! Does that work?! So when you hover over the image css changes the size of the image?! Could I put that in a div and then position it where ever I like?! And how do I add that code so that it only applies to particular images that are links and not to all images i.e my background image etc?!
January 15, 201016 yr I think so, although I've never used the hover function to change sizes myself - correct me if I'm wrong anyone!
January 15, 201016 yr Yes you should be able to use the CSS rule. Using CSS you should be able to have an image and then use the 'hover' asset to make it something else or bigger I do this with the backgrounds behind the links sometime. It would go in the CSS file just use the a:link, a:hover, a:visited tags and it should work fine. If you need any extra help pm me.
