Best image gallery content management system

Featured Replies

My client is an artist who wants an image gallery to display his work. He wants to be able to update the images in the gallery himself.

I do not have any knowledge of php so need a ready made solution.

I have considered using Wordpress for the site and a Next Gen gallery. Any other suggestions on how I could manage this for him?

Thanks in advance.

if you are familiar with wordpress but not php then next gen really is your best option if working with a client.

You could always use an xml flash gallery, although if the client is not confident with uploading this way then it's probably not ideal. You could build a login & upload page for them.

Some flash galleries can pull from websites such as flickr, photobucket, etc. so your client could update it using one of those sites. An example of a flash gallery that can do this is dfGallery 1.0, although there are probably better out there.

Then as the other guys said, if your using wordpress there is always Next Gen, which would probably be alot easier. ^_^
