ok it's me again. and i have tried for ages before coming here to ask for help but...

2 things...

1 my mouse isn't turning into a hand (clickable link) when i hover over the full nav boxes... i think it's something to do with display:block but i keep getting it wrong. i am near the end of this site and i am so lost in the code.

the 2nd thing is that i can't seem to centre the nav bar in the site. i have tried the code that i assumed would work but to no avail.

so basically. i want to make the links properly clickable and for the nav to be centered.

please help me. i need to finish this site for my mental health!!!

thanks guys. honestly you are so helpful and i am really grateful!!!

this is the site...

So firstly to get it centred you will need to get the width of your id nav to be perfect with the width of all your list items. at present it looks around 150px out.

to make the li clickable, you can add this onclick="location.href='http://www.tildemark.com/';" style="cursor: pointer;"

like this

<li  onclick="location.href='http://www.example.com/';" style="cursor: pointer;"> text goes here </li>

only problem is, it relies on javascript. there are a few other methods to do this.

Like gaz545 said you need to reduce the width of the #nav to equal 5 x 150, which is 750px. Then try declaring a height on the links to see if that fixes it.

Rather than make the li clickable, just expand the a element to the correct size and the li will just wrap around it.

li{display:inline}

li a{display:block; width:100px; height:50px}
