Adding low graphics (or for cell phone users) version of site

Featured Replies

I have built a site in WordPress which has a lot of graphics, etc. http://www.cloud10comms.com and I wondered what would be the best way of creating a low graphics version which would have the same content but with different CSS to produce a low graphics version for users with dial-up connections and/or on mobile devices.

I have noticed some blogs have a "mobile version". For example Perez Hilton.

Don't know about how you'd go about Dial up users having a different page, unless they actually click to see a LoFi version, but iirc you can specify "@media handheld" for moblie devices to recieve a different CSS.

Three ways spring to mind:

1. use a separate stylesheet for mobile devices

2. create a different set of templates for the mobile version

3. rebuild the site to be cross device friendly

Thank you evu and BlueDreamer.

As creating a low graphics version is more aimed at dial up users it seems I'll have to create a repeated set of pages with low graphics templates and CSS.
