September 28, 200916 yr I'm doing my final year project at university and my idea is to make a user driven website that allows them to sign up, have their own profile, add friends from their profiles and the main point is to be recommended series to watch (specifically for japanese animation but that doesn't matter at this point). I want the users to be able to find a series (each series will have its own profile with information such as synopsis, genre, a few screenshots and also an area for users to be able to review the series. I also want the users to be able to add the series from the series' page (kind of like the add friend thing on facebook) and it will appear on their profile as one that they have either watched, are currently watching or if it one of their favourites. I'm probably being a bit specific there though. So my question is which CMS is fit for completing such a task? to be able to have not only user profiles but profiles for series as well. I was thinking of using Wordpress MU or something but I'm not sure if it'd really work. Any suggestions would be massively appreciated!
September 28, 200916 yr Does MU not provide a platform for individuals to sign up and create their own blog, whereas you would like users to be able to create an account to review a series. Not sure you'll achieve what you require with WordPress MU, but I can't be 100%. BenTheDesigner
September 30, 200916 yr I would sit down and set our your targets in detailed but short bullet points, this will better help you to understand your requirements. Wordpress mu potential has the capabilities to do what you want. BUT what will happen if you have to 'hack' it to work. will you get marked down etc?
