Wordpress Questions

Featured Replies

Okay I've actually got a few questions.

I started a site up at the beginning of this year.

I've started to get a fair amount of traffic and I've decided I'll put a bit more effort and develop it further.

The site is www.101photoshopbrushes.com

It's run on Wordpress.

Here are my questions:

On Internet Explorer 6, some of the boxes with the images on the homepage are missing.. Any idea on how to fix this?

I want to be able to allow people to rate the brushes (Out of five).. And the page would display the average rating. (this would be below the download button)

I would also like to show the amount of downloads of the brush. (this would be below the download button)

My knowledge with CSS and XHTML is fairly good, but I know a little PHP.

I'm guessing there are probably scripts available, but I've had a look and I'm not sure which ones are reputable etc.

Thanks,

Joel

Hey personally if i were you i would just worry about IE 7 and above cause i just tested works perfect on IE 7 i would not worry about developing for ie 6 or lower cause most people have prob upgraded anyways oh and it also works good in firefox and to me in order to show the number of downloads below a brush i'd just have a number that auto incriments in a database when u click the download button it updates that number then you just display it hope this helped a little

Thanks, yeah I guess you're right. Because I'm only getting a very small % of my visitors on IE 6, and the problem isn't that major.

I'm not really sure about how I would go about with auto incriments of a database though :S.

Thanks,

Joel
