phpMyAdmin with WAMP

Featured Replies

I have been using wamp now for a while and all of a sudden i can't access phpmyadmin page. I can still use wamp as a testing server but my little icon has turned yellow and phpmyadmin page just won't load up! I have re-installed wamp, but still nothing?

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas as to why?

P.S I haven't installed anything new to cause any conflicts!

I'm "clutching at straws" here... but you could try downloading phpMyAdmin and unzipping it in your web directory as a quick fix/workaround.

I realise you want to get to the bottom of the problem and use it from the WAMP gui, but hope this helps?

Cheers for the help zoonder but i believe i have found the answer. I think it had something to do with messenger. I remember i had the same problem with Skype as they both used the same port(something like that?) So when i haven't got messenger active my WAMP works!

Yep. I have to quit skype before starting up wamp server. I can then restart skype and then they work fine together.

Ah yes...It should be possible to edit the httpd.conf and make apache listen on port 8080 so as not to conflict.
