September 22, 200917 yr http://alterdevine.be It isn't finished yet, but have a look and give me some comments Ow, 1thing, the website is made in dutch.. So ..
September 22, 200917 yr Love the colors. very optimistic. looks great, now the only thing is that maybe the home page needs a bit more content? text? I don't speak/read dutch, but it needs a text description, showing the viewer where they're at and what they can expect. other than that, design wise...great. great job. >Michael< /*edit*/ maybe think about moving the follow us icons under the gallery thumbnails?
September 22, 200917 yr I like the header design, except for the wilkom box. It doesn't fit with the 'torn' look of everything around it. The bit of green spoils the look. I'd search for another brown tone. You have a major error too - the flier says "1 drink too much" and you've titled it "1drunk too much". It's a bit bare too. I like minimal but you have to be spot on with the design. I'd advise making the site shorter and dragging up elements lower in the page up to make the page more interesting - I hate scrolling.
September 23, 200917 yr I'm liking it, you've got a real framework to use there. Love the logo - I think that's awesome. Your navigation does some wierd things when I click on them - why are you using images in this place? It will be much more futureproof to use lists for your navigation, even though they can be a pain to understand if you haven't done them before. I think it just needs a little more care and attention to detail and you could potentially have a really good site your hands. I'll goto war with scifunk about scrolling - only kidding mate - i don't care how much i scroll ; as long as its interesting You have some MASSIVE icons at the bottom - what's that all about ? So to summarise: 1 - Get rid of that 'welkom bij alterdevine' at the top 2 - Where the ~ is on each post you should have a smaller version of your logo 3 - Change your navigation to text 4 - What's the green about? 5 - Need something more on the sidebar It's all a work in progress as you said though - look forward to following this one !
September 24, 200917 yr I think you need to make the content area wider, because it looks to thin also try not to add images with a white background because it disrupts the harmony of the colors you've used.
