November 26, 200718 yr Hi, Can someone please tell me which head tags are ignored by google, I have been told Google ignores the Keywords tag by a couple of people and then I get told that it does have some sway??? Anyone clarify this... Also do you know if there is an optimum number of words to have on your page? I know keyword density within that text will be the factor that contributes to your position (amoung a miriad of other factors) but is there a correct number of words like a range - say 500 - 700 words?? And when there are too many words.
November 26, 200718 yr Google doesn't like keyword stuffing, you can read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyword_stuffing you might also find this article useful too http://www.seoresearcher.com/average-keywo...e-msn-yahoo.htm So you have to pick your keywords to be relevant to the text and not over do it as it could look suspect if you over stuff. Also it is best to research useful search terms, and keyword usage as well, so you can condense your keywords down to a more targeted and useful amount. Its better to have a few useful keywords then 600 average keywords. So research is very much the key
