Internet and Phone Companies?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Ive just bought a flat (biggest impulse buy ive done so far....) and need to sort out the phonelines and internet.

Can anyone recommend a good company to go with? i want a decent line, but without a £100/month pricetag.

I did consider looking at sky, to get a TV package as well, but what is their internet like?

good as in cheap... i use talktalk, its £11 per month for phone and internets and line rental and free weekend and evening calls. its ADSL though...

I have talktalk, with phone line rental and anytime call package.

Internet is ok for our area. should be faster in more built up areas.

I think I pay just over £20 for everything - Broadband, Line Rental, and Anytime call package.

Virgin Media?

Me and my partner get 20mb broadband, the medium/large (can't remember) cable package and landline for £30 I believe.

Not necessarily the cheapest, but they are good, or I've never had a problem anyway!

My biggest problem with virgin, ive heard alot of people saying that it throttles down alot, making it incredibly slow at peak times.

This connection is going to be used on average 10 hours a day, so i need something that can handle it.

I couldn't agree more! Thats what we are on at the minute and it quite frankly...... SUCKS!

Since they have been bought out by TalkTalk, it has gotten *SLOWER* not faster like they said it would.

Have you had a look at O2 Broadband? Seems very quick, cheap and its unlimited.
