September 3, 200916 yr My yellow website again Hi again everyone, So a few weeks ago I asked if my website was too yellow. Yes was pretty much the reply. However that hasn't changed much. My MD loves the yellow and I must admit it is slowly growing on me However I have dulled it down slightly. The other feedback I did take on board was it looked too templatey, so I decided to rework a great deal of the site, aiming for a fun lighthearted approach. As always your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.
September 3, 200916 yr hi minimac.......... Wat a sexy site u made it......... i love it.... Keep it up..... its look very sexy yar...
September 3, 200916 yr My only critisisisisum would be to add a border to your drop down menu as blends a little too well with the background of the site. a couple of gradients here and there might ease the blinding yellow althought its more of a mustard now! which is better.
September 3, 200916 yr Author Thanks for the feedback, I have changed the navigation menu so now it has an orange background on the drop down lists. I had been thinking of adding a faint graphic on the background layer, but wasn't sure if it would make it too busy.
September 3, 200916 yr looking good! your header would probably be better saved as gif or 8-bit png. as it is now you can see some jpeg artefacts in the contigous colour areas. if you can't reproduce the drop shadow well enough with gif/8-bit png then use less compression on the jpeg the line height on the large text is a little too much - at least on the longer line lengths. you have h4 headings after an h1- why not an h2 instead of the h4? your 32-bit pngs don't work in ie6 - simply use a gif or 8-bit png with transparency maybe a little too much white space (yellow space ) above the footer - reducing it a little would bring it above the fold on my screen at least all in all, it looks good and feels nice!
September 3, 200916 yr What would look really nice is if you made those three link images on the top right light up in full colour when you hover over them. Also, your yellow on your graphics and background dont quite match. I can see the edges of all your graphics. your bgd colour is:#FCD61D your image bgd colour is:#FFD700 It would probably be easier to change your background colour to match your graphics.
September 3, 200916 yr Author Great advice once again and I have implemented it all Why H4 rather than H2, I have no idea to be honest! However it is now fixed. I also changed my png's to 8bit, I also changed the background colour, thanks JMC, and try the top 3 links now, hee hee, is it too much? I am having too much fun with this site now!

September 3, 200916 yr Very impressive site. Very creative. Still think the yellow is hideous though!
September 3, 200916 yr Author I love the effects on the 3 links at the top How did you do it? I hate to say these 2 words but . . . Animated gif with a js image over behaviour. And ty thefandango, tobo decided it was mustard rather than yellow, so I am sticking to calling it that and investing in a pair of shades when working on this site. I am finally starting to feel happy with it now. Thanks again guys for pushing me to add those last wee bits!
