August 20, 200917 yr Hi, Currently trying to get myself sorted with a logo and website. Ive finally manged to put together a logo im happy with but thought it a good idea to get some opinions. no doubt i will be back here soon with a website concept but am currently stuck with which kind of layout to go for, any ideas are welcome. anyway i look forward to your c&c. Thanks Michael
August 20, 200917 yr Sorry but i really dont like the colours. To me it does not look professional either. You need to get your logo right first before your start your website.
August 20, 200917 yr I'm in the same boat as you as I'm trying to work on a logo also for my site and so far all I have is my avatar you see to the left and really I feel the logo must be more tha just text... Take a look at this logo someone else is asking for feedback on... Logo
August 20, 200917 yr Has too much spacing between the words. The colours I don't mind. It just lacks a little "va-va-voom!" but keep at it.... logos don't always come on the first try
September 4, 200917 yr Its a nice start but still needs some work. I would close the gap in the words entirely, you have the colours to show the separation, some designers also use contrasting font weights to that effect too. I like the font (what is it?) the all lower case makes it friendly and yet quite pro looking. Definitely change the yellow I have a LCD screen and it is far too pale to be readable and it is a little vomit inducing in its acidity. I would also replace the '|' with an '&' to make it read like a tag-line rather than a navigation bar. I would also make the tagline smaller to contrast with the main heading, you may then need to use the bold variant of the font if it becomes too light.
September 4, 200917 yr Hi Roggy, Like what others commented, maybe minimize the gap between the letters. I was thinking maybe your letter "i" if that can be an icon of a person to imply a personalized "aura". Since below the logo says "IT Support" so as to add a personal warmth on your design. Thanks.
September 4, 200917 yr i think a web two feel needed ! the logo should be more professional than this. You might use some other fonts as well ! this link might be helpfull ! http://www.go2web20.net/
September 5, 200917 yr Just a rough BW version. I'd be happy to tidy and do it properly for you to add to my portfolio if you're interested. I'd give you a few layout options too
September 5, 200917 yr about the colors. I'd go with dark grey for michael and either light grey or golden-like for ROGERS and inverse those colors for the text below
September 5, 200917 yr Had a play this afternoon: Before or after you played around with your portfolio, I notice some similarities
September 5, 200917 yr Hey, I'm working for free here LOL Michael can have whatever colour he wants, it was just how my palette was set up.
